Bad Pixel Correction (BPC)

Real-time detection and removal of defective sensor pixels.

Key Advantage

"Ensures a flawless image stream despite sensor aging or harsh environments."

Protecting Image Integrity

All CMOS and Thermal sensors can develop “hot” (stuck at maximum) or “dead” (stuck at zero) pixels over time, especially when exposed to radiation or high temperatures. Bad Pixel Correction (BPC) identifies these anomalies on the fly.

Smart Interpolation

Rather than leaving holes in the data, our BPC engine uses neighboring pixel values to interpolate the missing information. This process is handled with sub-pixel precision to maintain edge sharpness and prevent visual artifacts in high-resolution streams.

Static and Dynamic Maps

Our systems utilize two layers of protection:

  1. Static Maps: Pre-loaded during factory calibration to mask known defects.
  2. Dynamic Detection: Real-time analysis that identifies and corrects new defects as they appear during operation.
